St. Edward's senior Kim Abbott was named to the first team of the NCAA Division II All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) on Wednesday.

Abbott assisted the Hilltoppers from her defender and forward position. She started in all 22 matches for the Hilltoppers. She led the team in shots, and tied for first in team goals and points. In the season Abbott tallied one hat-trick and two game winning goals. From her defensive position, Abbott assisted in holding opponents to only six goals on the season. Abbott was also named Heartland Conference Player of the Week a total of five times.

The Hilltoppers finished the season with a 16-3-3 record which placed them in second place of the Heartland Conference yet the Hilltoppers were able to advance to the NCAA Championship Sweet 16 for the first time in school history.
