Sophomore point guard Tammy Acosta has pick up another post season award with a second team spot on the Daktronics All-Region Team.
Acosta, who was named Co-Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference in the Heartland Conference, finished the season averaging 14.6 points per game (424 total) with 132 assists, 89 rebounds and 70 steals while only averaging 29.5 minutes a game.
The Daktronics All-Region Team is decided solely by the sports information director’s in the region. The SIDs nominate all the players and are the only ones who are allowed to vote on the award. All players who are named to the first team are eligible for the Daktronics All-American Award.
