The St. Edward's University men's golf team was recognized as all-academic by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Monday.
Teams with a cumulative 3.0 or better were selected to the list. The Hilltoppers produced a 3.3 team grade-point average and five Hilltoppers tallied at least 3.5 GPA during the year.
St. Edward’s, along with conference-rival St. Mary’s were the only two institutions in the South Central Region to obtain the honor. The Hilltoppers were one of 113 teams in all three NCAA divisions, NAIA and the NJCAA to be named all-academic.
“This award is truly a testament to the hard work that we as a team put in this year,” head coach Todd Ohlmeyer said. “The guys really went the extra mile, not just on the course, but in the classroom as well.”
